More than 37,000 people signed a petition against the return of Hitoshi Matsumoto

More than 37,000 people signed a petition against the return of Hitoshi Matsumoto... A series of "hints" in regular TV programs had the opposite effect.

On Change.org, a non-profit organization, a petition against Matsumoto's return started on November 15, gathering more than 37,000 signatures.
The production staff of Mr. Matsumoto's regular TV program may also be seeking his return. However, the way they are trying to force his presence make likely cause a backlash from the viewers, and may even have the opposite effect.
