A woman (23) arrested and indicted after severing ex-boyfriend's ring finger and nipple with an axe, storing them in jars — found in apartment fridge in Osaka’s Kita Ward: “So he could never cheat again.”

 

The suspect, Saki Sato (23), unemployed, was arrested and indicted on charges of assault. Between September last year and January this year, she is alleged to have inflicted serious injuries on a 21-year-old man she was dating, inside an apartment in Osaka’s Kita Ward. These injuries include severing his ring finger with an axe and cutting off his left nipple with scissors.

According to police interviews, the man stated: “About the nipple, she told me, ‘It’ll grow back, so let’s try it once,’ before cutting it off. As for the ring finger, because it’s where the wedding ring goes, when she suspected me of cheating, she said, ‘Let’s make sure you can never cheat again,’ and cut it off.”

The severed ring finger, up to around the first knuckle, was reportedly placed in a small transparent bottle filled with what appeared to be an alcohol-based liquid.
