My thoughts on recent K-POP

1. [+530, -70] The tickets are too expensive, and there's way too much random stuff.

2. [+178, -68] I really have no idea what will happen to New Jeans

3. [+563, -11] Both the men and the women have all lost their individuality

4. [+644, -6] I can't even tell japanese and korean groups apart anymore

5. [+175, -64] I only know BTS

6. [+440, -12] It's not really just a recent thing, but people like BoA, who can stand on stage alone and fill a huge venue every single time, are pretty rare these days. I think that since everyone gets put into groups since the start, they end up getting lost in the crowd.

  >> BoA was a class of her own, she was legendary. She could do anything, from dance numbers to ballads.

  >> What about IU?

  >> Jennie and Lisa had a great time at Coachella, and Jhope had 12 show in North America, with an attendance of over 178.000 people.

7. [+52, -30] I watched a video from Stray Kids' world tour, but their dancing seemed a bit off

8. [+97, -3] KARA almost looked like they were about to make a comeback, but what was that all about?

9. [+57, -115]

10. [+51, -3] Are Lapone groups considered Kpop? (A/N The company that manages the japanese version of Produce 101 groups)

11. [+277, -7] I wonder if there are people who used to listen to groups like 4minute, After School, or f(x).

12. [+10, -130]

13. [+93, -47] Ever since I happened to watch a Stray Kids video, I've been totally hooked. I'm itching to start supporting them, but I've heard that fan support in Korea is really expensive, so I'm hesitating... Do y'all usually hold yourselves back before getting too deep into it?

14. [+63, -4] I like TXT, but I only know one of their songs.

15. [+196, -3] In the past they used to sing live, but now they lip-sync the whole time, which is kinda annnoying.

16. [+169, -0] I wish they'd release more songs without samples. The addictive ones are mostly sampled or taken from classical music—of course they’re catchy that way.

17. [+37, -22] I've only now gotten into IVE, my all time favorites are TWICE

18. [+78, -19] Stray Kids are going overboard with the money-grabbing, even though the merch is cute. Is everyone really traveling for concerts and buying the merch too?

19. [+39, -28] BTS will be back together soon—wonder how things will turn out.

 >> People say they’ve declined, but honestly, their fanbase is just way too massive. It still doesn’t look like any boy group can surpass BTS. I mean, when Yoongi’s solo tour matches the total sales of other HYBE groups combined, it’s clear they’re still incredibly popular.

 >> The group's activities have been on hiatus for a full three years, so even if their popularity has dropped a bit, considering Jungkook and Taehyung's fan numbers, they are still very much popular.

20. [+34, -9] Zucchi said he likes Stray Kids, and when I checked them out, I was surprised to see how good-looking they are.

21. [+50, -25] I love LE SSERAFIM's Come Over, and Akane Madi's dance challenge is amazing!

22. [+77, -3] I still like the 3rd generation the most. After that, everyone seems to follow similar concepts, and I got tired of it.

23. [+99, -6] I like the direction aespa is going in lately

24. [+23, -0] I’ve started to feel like the songs aren’t as fresh anymore... Maybe it's just because I’ve gotten older, if I were still a student, I’d probably find the current K-pop more exciting.
