Popular female YouTuber with about 600,000 subscribers opens up about why she began surgery.

Zepa, who was born in December 1999 and is now 25, has openly talked about having multiple plastic surgeries like double eyelid surgery, inner eye corner cuts, silicone nose implants, and jaw Botox.

When asked what made her decide to get surgery, Zepa said, “Around 9th grade, my mom asked me, ‘Do you want to get double eyelid surgery?’ and I was like, ‘Well, sure, why not?’”

She added, “The change in how people saw me was way bigger than I expected. I was like, ‘Wow, just changing my face can make that much difference?!’ So after that, I started doing more stuff on my own.”

In 9th grade…?

"Zepa said back then she didn’t really like or dislike her face, but after her mom suggested it, she thought “maybe I should do it” and went ahead with the surgery."
So it wasn’t really something she wanted herself...

I’ve thought this for a while, but plastic surgery kinda kills the uniqueness of a face, you know?
Even pretty girls just end up looking like the same mass-produced cute type.

Lately, young people seem to care a lot about their face but not so much about their height, huh? When I walk around, guys these days are mostly like 166-168cm, and girls around 153-155cm — super small! It really surprises me.
Especially guys, not only short but also super skinny, kinda like Vietnamese body types.
Back in the 90s, young people were a bit taller, had better features, and overall looked better, don’t you think?

>> What are you saying? Stop romanticizing the past so quickly.

>> Really? I think there have always been all kinds—both petite and tall kids—just like before. Sure, there are a lot of slender kids nowadays, both boys and girls, with thin frames and all. When I see my college and high school kids and their friends, I feel like these days they have longer limbs, smaller faces, and clearer skin and hair. They seem to care more about their appearance compared to when I was young.

Being pushed by your parents into it is basically like denying your own genes.

Forget about whether they’re cute or not — what really blows my mind is how they even manage to make enough cash to afford all that stuff.

I think moms shouldn’t get involved in their daughters’ looks at all. It’s not just being overbearing — sometimes unconscious twisted feelings sneak in.

If my own parents told me to get plastic surgery, I’m pretty sure I’d feel really messed up about it...

I wish people who’ve had plastic surgery were required to tell their partner before getting married.
