I don't know them. Who the hell are these people
2. [+45, -3]
Surprisingly, the average age in each group is pretty high. There are even members around 27 years old. Everyone must have gone through a lot.

Is there a good way to tell apart Fruits Zipper, Tokimeki Sendenbu, and Cutie Street?
>> Fruits Zipper seems to spend a lot on their costumes.
>> When you add Candy Tune too, it’s hard to tell what’s what.

All the Fruits Zipppers members' way of speaking keeps changing more and more, and it makes me worried. They really need to be given a break.
>> Yui-chan got caught up in a scandal again, it was so sad. At their age, it’s about time everyone calms down a bit, right?
5. [+9, -1]
I keep mixing them up with Tokimeki Sendenbu, can't tell them apart.
6. [+21, -3]
Karen-chan is just too cute, like a baby
7. [+36, -6]
Masuda Ayano from Cutie Street is cute
8. [+25, -4]
The girl in red from CANDY TUNE is too beautiful.

I'm glad that Cutie Street got popular when they joined. Another group debuted after them, but they didn’t really take off. I was wondering why, then realized they’re from Asobisystem but not part of the KAWAII LAB. project. It made me realize that the KAWAII LAB. brand is really a thing now.
It’s like how in the Akimoto groups, only Sakamichi groups are succeeding—it’s all about the brand.

I’m into girl idols and I’m usually good at telling them apart, but they all looked the same to me—turns out they’re from the same agency. I wonder why can't they just give each group its own identity through things like outfits or music to set them apart.

Their songs are superficial and not worth listening to.
>> Well, that's because they're meant to be enjoyed for their looks, not the music.
>> I listen to their songs because they make me feel cuter. I'd rather listen to something cute than preachy music.
>> Peak-era AKB was so heavily criticized, but they're starting to seem way better in comparison. They actually had a lot of pretty good songs.

Both Karentan and Parutan are super skinny, so it's a bit worrying.
It feels less like they're dieting and more like they're losing weight from being so busy.

Buzzes are just temporary things. They get consumed, forgotten, and that's it. I wonder if any of these songs will still be listened to years from now.
I'm glad female idol groups are rising again, but I'm not a big fan of the kawarabo groups. I agree that none of them really feel like they have a unique identity and their performances are a bit hard to watch. I much prefer Tokisen and the Sashihara groups like =Love or ≠ME.
ReplyDeleteI kinda agree with the identity thing, honestly I just recognize a couple of members from Fruits Zipper and Candy Tune and that's how I tell the apart, but everyone else, yeah... lol. I think their timing was just perfect, though, with the rise of Kpop inspired, cool, 'edgy' groups, they managed to stand out by doing absolutely nothing new.
DeleteSasshi's groups are so well put together and polished while still being very much Jpop, I also like them.
Some of you guys are just making up excuses to hate on them for no reason. If you have been following them for a while, you would understand that they are more than their appearances, they all have their own unique features and voices and are quite distinguishable. I honestly love their performances, songs, concepts and unique beauty. I could say something different about every single one of KAWAII LAB.'s idols because they're equally awesome. their songs brought me hope and happiness. and everytime i listen to them, i feel like im in heaven. i've been into j-pop idol groups for a long time but The groups I felt closest to were KAWAII LAB.'s. Especially Fruits Zipper. All im asking is to give their beautiful music a proper chance.
ReplyDeleteNobody's hating on them, though. I already have a few of their songs on my playlist and I like some members! ☺️ Naturally they seem unique enough to someone who follows them closely, but from an outsider's perspective not so much. This is not exclusive to them though, so do all other big girl group franchises if we're being honest... 48, Sasshi groups, WACK, with maybe the exception of Sakamichi. It's just that KAWAII LAB. is the talk of the moment!
